La Posada Communities, the leader in Southern Arizona Senior Living Communities, is building a second campus in Oro Valley and is seeking a Retirement Counselor (sales) to help grow this community from the ground up. La Posada is made up of a vast team of talented and committed individuals, all dedicated to our mission: to maximize the well-being of seniors; and the Retirement Counselor’s role is integral to that mission.

Throughout the next three years, while our new retirement community is under construction our successful candidate will be responsible for communicating our vision and culture. Once we have completed this first phase of construction, our successful candidate will continue to work on planned future phases and participate in achieving sales goals to reach and maintain occupancy.

This position provides our prospective resident with a first impression and requires a mature and professional presentation.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years previous sales experience (not required if you have transferable experience) with superb interpersonal skills:

  • Ability to read non-verbal cues and micro expressions
  • Quickly build rapport and trust
  • Embody compassion, curiosity, understanding, and respect
  • Present information one-on-one and to large groups
  • Answers questions as a content expert
  • Become a resource to anyone coming through the door
  • Utilize follow-up techniques to build relationships to close sales
  • Work well in a team environment in a supportive manner

The candidate must have significant experience with MS applications. La Posada uses cutting edge technology from a Sales Force platform CRM system, touch screen presentation systems, slide decks, and video, and as such it’s important the candidate is willing to be proactive and learn.
